I tried this one first. The Meghan Peasant Dress …

I am not the skinny model type shown on the pattern cover :-) but I knew if I made it a tunic length with the bell sleeve option, it would be perfect for me and I was right!

I made the XL, following Carla’s guide for both the measurements and the dress size … and, again, it was~perfect! I grabbed some Jennifer Paganelli Flower Power for the top and some Pretty Please for the bottom.

The only thing I did differently was put the casing on the outside of the sleeve for an accent and a strip of the skirt print down the bodice ….. now it says “rosie” ….which was fun and completely doable with this fun pattern.

So, what do I think of Carla and Jennifer’s pattern?  It was remarkable!

  • The instructions are clear and precise.
  • Printing was a snap (you only need to print out the specific size you are making).
  • Assembling the pattern was fun and easy …. every thing lined up perfectly.
  • The sizing was right on and the fit is comfortable.
  • A big plus for me ~ instant gratification ~ order, print and sew!

I will be making more of Carla’s patterns! In fact, I am off to order some more now :-)
