Thanks for the great, in-depth review. I’ve been looking for a serger (no, not for me!) for my daughter who’s working towards fashion design and loves to sew. From what I’ve seen, it seems Viking is one of the best (but $$$ too) although “you get what you pay for” which is why I told her “no” regarding buying a Singer serger from Walmart. Singer makes crappy sewing machines to begin with (too many plastic parts in critical components). She uses a Bernina and Brother sewing machines but I think the S-21 would be great for her to learn and progress on. Thanks again!
