There is something so modern and sophisticated about decor that combines sunny yellow and steely gray with bold graphic design.  My mind immediately wanders to an urban/industrial NYC loft and a stylish, cosmopolitan lifestyle that is probably about as far from my reality as one might imagine.

Accent pillows are the perfect place to try out a new color combo.  It only takes a little to make a big statement.  And who knew these colors would look so well against a lavender backdrop!

To recreate this look with fabrics designed in this palette, I immediately thought of one of my favorite collections.  In Jan DiCinto’s Daisy Janie Etsy shop, you will find a few prints from her Metro colorway that are a great mix of uptown appeal and modern design.

I am in love with the organic cotton sateen version and have purchased a few swatches that are in my “save for the perfect project” box!  You can also find some of these gorgeous prints in organic cotton canvas.

Daisy Janie is also one of The Fabric Shopper’s sponsors, so click over to her website to see Jan’s latest designs.
