Giveaway!! A Punkie Pie Original
While doing a little surfing the other day I happened upon….
I was taken by her clever vendor’s aprons. I began thinking of all the ways I could use these … after all, I already wear my scissor on a ribbon around my neck. Why not keep the rest of my “never want to be without” tools in a trusty apron?
Even though giveaway sponsors on The Fabric Shopper are usually fabric stores, I thought it would be nice to receive a handmade treasure from a lovely seamstress and highlight a great store that just might provide a gift or two for your list!
All of the products in Punkie Pie’s Boutique are hand made Debbie. She chooses fun modern fabrics to make cheerful accessories for women, such as, aprons, headbands and fashion scarves. Debbie has such a passion for color and loves working with various colors and textures.
Debbie comments “There are so many wonderful fabric designers out there that meet my needs of having colorful things around me.”
Punkie Pie Craft Vendor ApronThis amazingly cute! Punkie Pie has provided this super apron as a giveaway for today! I know you want it! I want it, too! Debbie thinks (and I concur) that these utility aprons are perfect for all your projects! It can be worn by vendors, crafters, teachers, gardeners, waitresses …
Debbie has also shared some helpful tips when making our own projects:
“When making my aprons I choose bold brilliant colors and modern fabrics. This really adds a nice twist to the traditional apron. My 10 year old daughter (her nickname is Punkie Pie) has the same passion for color so she sometimes works with me in choosing fabric and color combination’s for items I make for my shop. We search out fabric designers online and look and learn how they combine colors and textures. Fabric designers (normally) design their fabric lines so that their fabrics can be combined with one another which makes the job of combining fabrics easy. Two factors determine how to combine fabrics: one, the color of the fabric, and two, the characteristic of the print. Find one fabric you love and build around it. Whether it is plaid, floral, striped, geometric or solid, make it the foundation fabric. Try not to use more than three patterns. Vary the style and size of pattern. Such as, if you have large plaid, choose a medium scale stripe and small scale floral. This adds visual texture. So be daring and mix it up!”

I was only thinking the other day, that I really need to have an apron and they arent just for nannas! so It was fortunate that this post came up! I really really like the Watermelon apron in the shop, It’s funky and bold and I can use it when I teach and the colours would annoy my 5 year old twin boys who think girls colours are yucky! and everything should be blue and red!
thanks for broadening my views they are very very gorgeous!
I adore these vendor aprons! How great! I really like the aqua one the best.
