I love the rustic warmth that burlap brings to a Thanksgiving table scape.  It’s so natural, easy to use since there’s hardly any sewing, and can be paired with even the most elegant place settings for a beautiful and natural contrast.  The only thing I do question, though, are the tiny little bits of burlap that occur when you cut into it.  I made burlap window panels for my bedroom, and 8 months later (and despite being vacuumed well) they are still shedding tiny bits.  I would NOT want to end up with burlap fibers in my food!

Have you ever used burlap on the dining room table?  What is your experience?

Here’s some inspiration!
